Frequently Asked Questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No, this tool runs entirely in your browser using open-source libraries. Your PDF never leaves your device, ensuring complete privacy and security.
Why is the output garbled or empty?
Scanned PDFs are essentially images without selectable text. Browser-based extraction works only on PDFs that contain actual text layers. We're working on adding OCR support for scanned documents in a future update.
Can I extract text from specific pages?
Yes! Use the page range field to specify which pages you want to extract. You can enter individual pages (e.g., 1,3,5) or ranges (e.g., 1-3, 5-8). Combine them like this: 1-3,5,8-10.
Is there a file size limit?
Since processing happens entirely in your browser, the limit depends on your device's capabilities. Generally, PDFs up to 100 pages should work well on most modern devices.
What happens to my files after processing?
Nothing is retained! Your files are processed temporarily in memory and are completely cleared once you close or refresh the page.
